Happy Face

Artificial Medicine Induced Happy Face   I spend plenty of time in and around Social Media, which I really enjoy chatting with folks all over the world, and I’ve got to say, there are a lot of Artificial Happy Face folks out there.  Some don’t try to hide the fact they are not Happy, while others, once I get to know them better, admit in their own way, they are putting on their medicine induced Happy Face. Are we just taking what the Doc says as that’s the best way, or maybe it’s the Shrink that’s telling us, “get used to it, it’s the way it is”.  OR Worse yet, it’s our friends trying to help, that get’s us to go see the doc and get that prescription for the Artificial Happy Face, just so our friends can deal with us.  Is that really what we want? Are we just going to...

10 Minutes

10 MINUTES I’m SERIOUSE, only 10 minutes per day for a full body cell workout.  OH and Stretching, NOT required. No I’ve not lost it YET, I will over time, as that’s what happens when the body is removed from sitting in a chair all day long.  That’s what will happen to you and I as we spend just 10 minutes per day doing nothing else but BOUNCE.  I do believe WE will improve and give away some unneeded weight. CELLERCISE I can hear the questions already.  What is Cellercise?  What’s this 10 minutes per day workout?  One thing it is, it’s a time saver.  NO time spent stretching before or after the 10 minutes of bouncing, no long sessions at the gym, no need to drive to the gym.  It’s a money saver as well.  No more gym memberships. When we work out, the old fashion way, we’ve got to spend long periods of...

Nutrition

We Can’t Eat Enough Nutrition! Was watching a presentation by Tony Stephan, and he brought up a study about how our food supply does not provide us with the proper daily nutrition we need. This study talked about how back in the early 1900’s the food grown in folks back yard, had way more nutrition value than the same food, say in the 50’s did, fast forward to 2015, YIKES. Imagine sitting down to dinner and having just one plate of food and before you got the entire plate of food consumed, you were satisfied. Back in the early 1900’s that’s what happened. The nutrition content was very high in the vegetables grown at home. The soil back then was full of minerals. Then along came the idea that if we grow food in mass, we can feed people in the cities the same healthy foods the country folks get....

The Vegetables

It’s about, The Vegetables, so I’ll do my best to keep this short, due to the lack of the vegetables you had for breakfast, or was it for lunch, no I bet it was dinner, you might get bored. Get the feeling that ALL our meals contribute to our vegetable intake? You’re right every meal you eat should contribute to your daily vegetables intake. We’ve (Jeannine and I) been on a journey the last couple of years, one that started with the desire to eat healthier, then maybe it’s been longer then that. This journey has taken us down some crazy and interesting roads, here are just a few hints of those roads. Learning what to eat with what and in what order, still think about this info when eating fruit. Then we learned that if we don’t recognize what we’re eating, as in does it look like a carrot...

PEE it Works

Now don’t go and run away, just because I said “PEE it Works”. Yup, my 1st thought as well, was to RUN. Thing is I was curious enough when a fellow gardener told me about this, I had to check for myself. What I learned was short of Awesome. Amazing yes, and now to convince my wife, “Honey we need to save our pee”. Hmmm, wonder how that’s going to go over. But it’s for a good cause, it’s for our organic garden. It’s permaculture! We’re using coffee grounds from the coffee stand, so what’s the big deal about saving Pee, dilute it down and put it on the corn or any other part of the garden for that matter. As noted in the article below, depending on the region you live, how you use Pee, could change, so please pay attention to where you live, before just Peeing on...

Garden Zones

My last post was about Coffee Grounds, and this morning I go outside and smell the coffee grounds. The rain is watering the coffee grounds as fertilizer into the mulch that I spread last fall, making the worms happy and soon the fruit trees and blue berry plants will soak up the goodness. Every now and then, I find myself looking at a plant and wonder, “Will it grow where I live?”. Tell me, you’ve NEVER had that question, seems we’ve all had this questions at one time. In fact someone asked this very question this morning. To make it easier for those that live in North America, I’ve included a web link that will help you learn about the many garden zones and which zone you’re in. Then with this knowledge, you’re efforts in your organic garden, will, I hope, not bring you to your knees, asking “I thought...

Coffee Grounds

Working in our garden today spreading mulch, as it was Sunny, the thought came to me, I need to get more coffee grounds as fertilizer, from the local coffee shop. Just think, save the coffee shop from throwing great compost away into the landfills, our organic garden really likes the nutrients, so why NOT. I’m not going to convince you to keep your coffee grounds, so let me share with you a link to a blog that’s just about this very topic. http://www.nwedible.com/2013/02/5-ways-to-use-coffee-grounds-in-the-garden.html...

Home Improvement Costs

Digging through some old blogs my wife wrote, when she was writing for me, I came across the below blog. Now unfortunately, I’ve not been able to find a working link to provide you, to the original letter that’s referenced. So then please Pardon my biased opinion, as I think Jeannine did a really great job of summarizing the letter in her own words. Being in the Home Improvement industry as long as I’ve been, we hear way too often “Why did my kitchen remodel cost so much?”. Or take any other part of home improvement and insert in the question. Much of a home improvement cost starts with say a Kitchen Design, or Bathroom Design. Who’s controlling the design, the homeowner or the designer. By Jeannine Dealy on July 31st, 2013 I do a lot of early-morning reading every day to keep up with the ever changing landscape of...

Home Improvement introduction

Thoughts are just that, Thoughts, unless we write or speak them. Sometimes I just want to write about those Thoughts. May be it’s about Home Improvement, or how about Kitchen Design, may be I’ve got a thought about Bathroom design, then there’s Weight Loss Tips, and a topic that’s moving up my “want to write” list, at a break neck speed, is Organic Gardening with Mulch. Having 40 years in the Residential Construction industry, at least 30 of those years in the remodeling portion of the industry, one could say, I might have a clue. Now to make this blog and others to follow really helpful, sending me your questions or ideas of what you want to learn, will be a major help for everyone here. I spent several days taking this “special training”, you might have heard the term “CAPS” thrown around the industry, that was to teach us...

Customer Loyalty: Build a Cult-Like Following

Print

Have you ever been a member of a cult? Don’t be so quick to say “no way Jose!” – It seems like a crazy notion, but hear us out. The term, “cult” may have a negative connotation (depending on who you are), but developing a ‘cult-like following’, especially as a brand, seems anything but insane. Are you a die-hard Apple product or Mac user? Do you refuse to fly with anyone but Virgin America? Do you only drink Coke vs. Pepsi? These particular companies have established such insane amounts of customer loyalty; they’ve created cult members out of many of us. So how do we get people hopelessly devoted to our own brands and businesses? At the New Media Expo in Las Vegas, Dino Dogan, founder of Triberr, spoke about brands with cult-like followings. According to Dogan, the only difference between establishing a cult and customer loyalty, is the intention....
